Convert Raw Scores to Scaled Scores & Percentiles
Enter your raw scores below to see your scaled scores and percentiles.
Note: Analytical Writing is scored directly on a 0-6 scale.
The GRE uses a complex scoring algorithm that converts your raw score (number of correct answers) to a scaled score. This conversion accounts for the difficulty level of the questions you answered correctly.
Verbal Reasoning is scored on a scale of 130-170 in 1-point increments. The section contains 40 questions across two 20-question sections.
Quantitative Reasoning uses the same 130-170 scale. It also contains 40 questions across two sections, focusing on math concepts and problem-solving.
The Analytical Writing section is scored separately on a 0-6 scale in half-point increments. It consists of two essays: "Analyze an Issue" and "Analyze an Argument".
Percentiles indicate how you performed relative to other test-takers. A 90th percentile means you scored higher than 90% of test-takers.
